11 Days Tanzania Adventure Safari Combined Zanzibar

Day 1:

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, your Tanzania Specialist guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Settle into your accommodation, relax and get used to the African atmosphere. Ready to start your safari proper in the morning. Overnight at Kigongoni Lodge or similar on bed & breakfast, since you will probably arrive late in the evening. The other hotels during your safari are with full board.

Day 2:

Today you depart after breakfast to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drives. Since this is one of the lesser known parks in Tanzania, it still has an authentic safari atmosphere. The hilly landscape scattered with grand Baobab trees against the blue sky is breathtaking. Witness the world’s largest concentration of elephants. Herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen around the Tarangire River, drinking or enjoying a mud bath. Apart from elephants, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers. In the area around these swamps you can also see lions, leopards, cheetahs and even tree-climbing pythons. Overnight at Ang’ata Tarangire Luxury safari camp or similar. All meals included.

Day 3 - 4:

Today you continue your safari to Serengeti National Park. This the place were the most impressive nature documentaries were shot. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife are unsurpassed. The annual wildebeest migration of more than a million wildebeest is probably Serengeti’s main draw. It is a true spectacle of nature and impressive to see millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelle thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Together with your guide you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park. If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend you to go on a Balloon Safari. It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife. Overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge or similar. All meals included.

Day 5:

After breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On this route there will be a high chance of seeing a lot of wildlife. After arriving at the crater rim you wil descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. The views are amazing! This collapsed volcano creates an unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation. Enjoy the beautiful colors of the landscapes and the wealth of animals. The crater is home to the highest concentration wildlife in Africa and is full of elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five. The views from the crater rim over the crater floor are incredible. Because of its natural beauty the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. There are a range of activities to do in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, like visiting a Maasai Village or the Elephant Caves. Overnight at Rhotia Valley Lodge or similar. All meals included.

Day 6 - 10:

Unwind and enjoy laid-back beach life on the tropical Zanzibar Island at Next Paradise Boutique Resort based on all inclusive. Miles and miles of white sandy beaches dotted with palm trees, surrounded by the clear azure water of the Indian Ocean. These two days are at leisure with no activities planned. You can explore the amazing coral reefs and swim among tropical reef fish. The beautiful beaches offer plenty of opportunities for surfers, snorkelers, divers and sunbathers.

Day 11:

This morning will be at leisure. In the afternoon your driver transfers you to the airport for your departure flight. On day 11 you will arrive back home. You like to extend Zanzibar Island with another beach destination the pristine Pemba Island or Mafia Island? Just email us.
