10 Days Tanzania Adventure Safari Combined Zanzibar

Day 1:

Arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport you will be met by our safari manager and your hotel in Arusha, at the lodge you will have detailed safari briefing. Overnight at Mount Meru Game Lodge. Dinner and breakfast included.

Day 2:

After breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park for game drive, Trangire is the fifth largest National Park in Tanzania located at the base of the East African Great Rift Valley. The park is made up of low hills & lash vegetation dominated with acacia woodland & huge baobab trees. Tarangire River and a swamp on the Northeast corner of the park are the permanent water sources in park supporting a large animal population in the park especially during the dry season. Large elephant population & the three rare species of Great Kudu, Fringed – Eared Oryx and the Ash stalling are among the highlight of this park. You may expect to sport herds of buffalo, giraffe, wildebeest, warthog, hippos & many antelopes. The park is also home to a good number of predators like lion, hyena, jackals, cheetahs & the ever illusive leopard that needs trained eye to sport. Later afternoon drive to the Camp for dinner & overnight. Overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Camp in Tarangire or similar. All meals included.

Day 3:

After breakfast at your camp departing for Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Crater for a wonderful game drive. The driving is at the base of the Great Rift Valley & up to the rim, you will stop for great view of Lake Manyara & the forest before driving up to the highlands of Ngorongoro. At the Ngorongoro gate you will do some registration and drive up to the Crater view point for picture of the crater floor from the rim. Then you will ascend 600 meter high wall into the Crater floor for wonderful game drive (packed lunch will be served at the Crater floor).

Ngorongoro Crater often defined as one of the wonders of the world, it is rather the world’s largest intact and unfolded volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is among few places where the rare black rhino living their natural habitats. You may also expect to sport elephants, zebras, hippos, wildebeest, zebra, Topi, eland, warthog & many antelopes.

This picturesque park has a dense population of predators which include lion, jackals, hyena, cheetahs & the ever mysterious leopard that needs sharp eyes to sport. You will visit Lake Magadi larger but shallow alkaline Lake at the southwest corner of the Crater where some flocks of flamingos & hippos are frequently visit this lake. Later drive out of Ngorongoro Conservation area & overnight at the beautiful Ngorongoro Farm House at Karatu. All meals included.

Day 4:

After breakfast depart for the famous Serengeti National Park, start by driving along the Crater rim & down to Malanja depression before reaching the endless rolling plains of Serengeti, on the you will visit one of Masai Village whereby some Masai warriors invites you & take you in and around their house with stories of their nomadic life around this area. You will mingle with kids & some family members where you can ask questions & take pictures with them. Later they will sing a farewell song which including dancing & jumping high, you may join the dancing.

After, continue to Naabi Hills gate for registration before heading to the Central Serengeti with en-route game drives. You may have your packed lunch at Naabi Hills gate or at the kopje (rock outcropping). Then drive further into Serengeti in searching for Great Wildebeest Migration. Late afternoon drive to your camp for dinner & overnight. Overnight at Serengeti Tortilis Camp Central Serengeti or similar All meals included.

Day 5:

On this day of your Tanzania safari combine Zanzibar beach holidays you will leave your camp with breakfast box and lunch box for an early morning game drive, you might spot nocturnal predators coming back after their long night of hunting or a group of lionesses planning a morning ambush, or a hard of buffalo lazily grazing before getting hot.

Also there will a high possibility of spotting cat family on the road as they avoid the morning mist. Break for breakfast in the bush. As you have previous know where the Wildebeest Migration is parked you can then drive to where they are and spend much time with the migration of herds. You may expect some animal actions like fighting, hunting, eating even killing.

Apart from wildebeest migration which involves Wildebeest, zebra & gazelle you may also sport herds of buffalo, giraffe, elephant, warthog, baboons, Topi. Birds of prey & predators like lion, hyena, jackals and sometime leopard are always very close. Late wind up your day by driving back to the Camp during or before the sunset. Overnight at Serengeti Tortilis Camp Central Serengeti or similar. All meals included.

Day 6:

After breakfast at your camp we will take you to Seronera Airstrip in the Serengeti (with en route game drive) for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival at Zanzibar airport our representative will transfer you to Ocean Paradise Beach Resort, after check in you will go through your program for Zanzibar with our representative before he leave you to enjoy your first day on the beach. Overnight at Ocean Paradise Beach Resort & Spa on the North East coast of Zanzibar Island. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 7 - 8:

Relax and enjoy the beaches of Zanzibar island, you can organize different water sports with your resort like snorkeling trip, fishing, diving and others. Overnight at Ocean Paradise Beach Resort & Spa. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 9:

After breakfast transfer to Stone Town (Option) on the way you can do the famous Spice tour. We have developed a special Spice tour with information not only about spices, but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description about their traditional uses in medicine, cosmetics and cooking. After the tour we invite you for a sumptuous and filling lunch at the Spice Restaurant where you can taste the spices and fruits that you have just learned about during the tour. Later drive to Stone town & check in at Tembo House Hotel, spend afternoon at leisure, your hotel is conveniently located in stone town’s beautiful water front where locals gather together for some football, gymnastics or just relaxing and socializing on the sand after their busy day. A turquoise blue pool ensures refreshment from the heat of the day. If you wish you can have short walks along the narrow lines of the Stone town. Overnight at Tembo House Hotel in Stone town. Breakfast included.

Day 10:

After breakfast depending on your flight time we will take you to Zanzibar Airport for your departure. If you have late departure (Option) you can do a guided stone town tour in the morning or take a boat ride to Prison Island which mostly takes about 30 minutes one way (See the Zanzibar island tour linked above).
